01

Welcome from Dr. Rosing

We are honored you are considering Allure MD for your care. Whether you are exploring plastic surgery, dermatology, medical spa treatments, or functional medicine, your consultation is the foundation of everything we do.

This guide will help you prepare so we can make the most of our time together. A great consultation is a partnership — the more we understand your goals, the better we can create a personalized plan that achieves the results you envision.

There is no pressure to decide anything during your visit. Our role is to listen, educate, and provide honest guidance so you can make the best decision for yourself.

02

What to Bring

Having the right items with you ensures a smooth, productive visit:

Bring a valid photo ID and your insurance card if applicable. While most cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance, some reconstructive or medical dermatology services may be.

Prepare a list of current medications, vitamins, and supplements — including dosages. Certain medications and supplements affect surgical planning and safety.

If you have previous medical records, imaging, or lab work relevant to your visit, bring copies. This saves time and provides valuable medical context.

Bring photos of results you admire — from magazines, Instagram, or other sources. Visual references help your provider understand your aesthetic preferences and set realistic expectations.

Write down your questions in advance. It is easy to forget things during a consultation, and having a list ensures you leave with all the information you need.

For body consultations, wear comfortable, easily removable clothing. A two-piece outfit is ideal for body contouring consultations.

03

What Happens During Your Visit

Your consultation follows a thoughtful, unhurried process:

You will begin with a warm welcome at our Newport Beach office by our patient care team. We will handle intake forms and review your medical history in a private setting.

Next, you will meet one-on-one with your provider for a thorough discussion of your concerns and goals. This is not rushed — we allocate generous consultation time because understanding you is essential to great results.

A focused physical examination and assessment follows, allowing your provider to evaluate your anatomy and identify the most effective treatment approach.

Your provider will then discuss treatment recommendations, including what each option involves, expected outcomes, and why specific approaches are recommended for your unique situation.

We will review before-and-after photos of similar cases so you can visualize potential results. You will also learn about the timeline, recovery process, and any preparation needed.

Finally, we will discuss next steps at whatever pace is comfortable for you — whether that means scheduling a procedure or simply taking time to consider your options.

04

Questions to Ask Your Provider

Great questions lead to great outcomes. Here are the most important ones to consider:

About your options: What are my treatment choices? What do you recommend and why? Are there non-surgical alternatives I should consider first?

About the provider: How many of these procedures have you performed? What is your training and board certification? Can I see before-and-after photos of your patients?

About results: What results can I realistically expect? How long will results last? What are the limitations of this procedure?

About recovery: What is the recovery timeline? When can I return to work and exercise? Will I need someone to help me at home?

About risks: What are the potential complications? How do you manage complications if they occur? What is your revision policy?

About cost: What is included in the quoted price? Do you offer financing options? Is a deposit required to schedule?

Do not hesitate to ask follow-up questions or request clarification. A good provider welcomes thorough questions — it shows you are an engaged, informed patient.

How to Describe Your Goals

Communicating your goals clearly helps your provider create the right plan. Here are tips for a productive conversation:

Be specific about what bothers you. Instead of saying "I want to look younger," try "I am bothered by the sagging along my jawline and the heaviness in my upper eyelids."

Bring reference photos, but maintain realistic expectations. Photos help convey your aesthetic preferences, but remember that results vary based on individual anatomy.

Describe how you want to feel, not just how you want to look. "I want to feel confident without makeup" or "I want to look as energetic as I feel" gives your provider deeper insight into your goals.

Be honest about your lifestyle and recovery capacity. If you can only take one week off work, your provider needs to know that when recommending options.

It is completely acceptable to say "I am not sure what I need — what do you recommend?" Many patients come in with a general concern and rely on their provider's expertise to identify the best solution.

The best results come from honest, open conversations where both you and your provider are aligned on expectations and outcomes.

Understanding Your Options at Allure MD

Allure MD offers comprehensive aesthetic care across four specialized pillars:

Plastic Surgery includes facelift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, neck lift, breast surgery, and body contouring. These procedures address structural changes that non-surgical treatments cannot achieve. All surgical procedures are performed by Dr. James Rosing, a Stanford-trained, FACS-certified plastic surgeon.

Dermatology covers medical skin conditions, skin cancer screening, and cosmetic dermatology. From acne treatment to mole evaluation, our dermatology services prioritize skin health as the foundation of great aesthetics.

Medical Spa treatments include Botox, dermal fillers, laser treatments, RF microneedling, EMSCULPT, and professional skincare. These treatments maintain, enhance, or complement surgical results with minimal to no downtime.

Functional Medicine addresses the internal factors that affect how you look and feel — hormone optimization, nutritional guidance, and wellness programs that support your body from the inside out.

Many patients benefit from treatments across multiple specialties. Your consultation will identify which combination of approaches best serves your unique goals.

07

Pricing & Financing

We believe in transparent pricing and want you to feel comfortable discussing costs during your consultation.

Procedure pricing typically includes the surgeon's fee, facility fee, anesthesia costs, and follow-up visits. Some additional costs may apply for special garments, post-operative treatments, or overnight stays.

We offer several financing options to make treatments accessible: CareCredit provides flexible monthly payment plans with promotional financing options. Prosper Healthcare Lending offers fixed-rate loans for medical procedures. We also offer customized in-house payment plans for qualifying patients.

During your consultation, you will receive a detailed cost breakdown specific to your recommended treatment plan. We want you to have complete clarity about pricing before making any decisions.

We never want cost to prevent you from exploring your options. Even if you are not ready to proceed immediately, understanding the investment helps you plan and budget for the future.

08

After Your Consultation

After your visit, you will receive a personalized treatment plan summarizing the recommended procedures, expected outcomes, and associated costs.

Take all the time you need to decide. We never pressure patients to book procedures. Many patients schedule a second consultation or bring a partner or friend to discuss their options — and that is perfectly welcome.

When you are ready to move forward, our patient care coordinator will help you schedule your procedure and provide detailed pre-operative instructions. We handle all the logistics so you can focus on preparing.

In the meantime, our team is available to answer any follow-up questions that arise. You can reach us by phone at (949) 706-7874 or through our website.

We look forward to being your trusted partner in achieving your aesthetic and wellness goals.
